Not the outcome we were looking for

A game with a lot of headlines coming in has even more headlines coming out as the Jets 4 game winning streak gets snapped and they have now lost 13 straight game to the New England Patriots.

Lots of headlines, but the biggest one was the play of Zach Wilson. He looked good early, but then as the game progressed he went back to the old Zach and just kept on turning the ball over on dumb plays. Although he had his first 300 yard passing game, he turned the ball over too much for those yards to do him any good.

The Jets look like that next young and upcoming team, but that all does not matter if you quarterback does not execute. If Zach Wilson continues to play like this and the Jets don't find a solution for this, they will be going nowhere. If you look at almost all the playoff teams, they get good and mostly great quarterback play from their guys. ZW has to pick it up and he needs to do it quick.

The game looked great early for the Jets until the game-changing controversial roughing the passer penalty call on John Franklin-Meyers. Recently, he has been very selfish with these stupid and dumb 15 yard penalties and this is what killed the Jets today, but the refs also have to calm down with this protecting the quarterback nonsense.

This is football, it isn't basketball, it isn't soccer, it's football. In football you are supposed to get hit and most of the time, you're going to get hit hard, so why does this have to be an exception for quarterbacks? The refs called the flag on JFM as not a late hit on Jones, but too hard of a hit on Jones which is one of the more outrageous calls I've seen.

First of all, it takes away a pick-six for Michael Carter II, it continues the drive for the Patriots, but again at the end of the day, THIS IS FOOTBALL, and these calls are ruining what the game is all about. NFL officiating has to get together and discuss this because players shouldn't have to change the way they play because of this and not only is it costing the Jets games but lots of other teams around the league as well.

The Jets have their fair share of excuses on the offensive side and the defense balled out today, but you can't expect the stellar defense to bail out the offense every time. The first game without their upcoming star running back Breece Hall, and arguably best lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker headlined the injuries and also no WR1 Corey Davis.

Obviously, it's not ideal the Jets lost this game and especially with the Bills coming to town next week, but look at the bright side. Nobody and I mean nobody had this team being over .500 going into the bye week and look at that, this team will be either 6-3 or 5-4 going into the rest week. The Jets have turned many heads this season and one loss is not a reason to panic about this young and hungry team. A new opportunity lies ahead this week against Buffalo and although it will be a tough task it's time to put this game in the back of our minds and move onto Buffalo.

Biggest game of the season for the Jets

October 30, 2022, the day before Halloween for some, but today is the biggest game of the season for the New York Jets as they take on the New England Patriots. It's the first time in 21 years that the Jets come into the matchup against the Pats with a better record than them and today they look to show why they have that better record.

Lots of stuff going into this game, but let's start off with the Jets haven't beaten the Patriots since 2015, 12 straight losses. This year, they have to flip the narrative. The Pats are coming in off a brutal loss to the Bears and are a little banged up and the Jets need to take advantage of these factors.

Although the team is struggling, they still have arguably the best coach of all time at the helm in Bill Belichick. Nothing gets past Belichick easily and the Jets are aware of this, so they have to get around him first if they want to win this game.

Just a year ago, the Jets suffered two losses to the Pats that were not pretty. The first loss was Zach Wilson's first home game where he threw for 4 interceptions and the Pats demolished the Jets and then the second game the Pats were up big in the 4th quarter and they decided to continue to run up the score.

Many of the same players from that game a year ago are still playing for the Jets and that situation will be in the back of their mind this game. Lots of people took that personally and today they are trying to take those feelings and put them on the field.

It's most definitely the biggest Jets game in 7 years since they lost in Week 17 in Buffalo in 2015 to just barely miss the playoffs. There's a huge difference between being 6-2 and 5-3 especially when you have Buffalo coming to town next week.

Zach Wilson needs to step up and show the rest of the NFL why he is the man for the job in East Rutherford.  The Patriots defense is good, but it is nowhere near good as the two defenses the Jets have faced these previous weeks. I expect to see a bigger incorporation of the passing game because of the absence of Breece Hall and with this Zach needs to find his rhythm early.

I'll make it simple, the streak HAS to end today, there's no if's ands or buts, it HAS to end today. Although the Jets have suffered some severe losses in the players that went down last week, they are more than capable of coming out on top today. Lets go Jets and I hope my next blog is about them being 6-2.

My Team of the Week (Week 7)

Seven weeks through the NFL season and an unlikely team has popped into the team of the week in the Chicago Bears. The Bears marched into New England on Monday night and totally dominated the Patriots from start to finish as they improved their record to 3-4.

Coming into the night as heavy underdogs, the Bears totally defied the odds by routing the Patriots by a score of 33-14. A team in which their offense has been towards the bottom five in the league totally broke out on Monday night. Just a week ago they put up seven points against the Commanders at home.

The defense supported the offense and took advantage of the quarterback controversy that the Patriots were facing. They knocked Mac Jones out of the game early and only struggled for two drives against Bailey Zappe which in the end did not affect them.

Justin Fields looked like a totally different quarterback than how he had been performing throughout his brief pro career. He looked like the quarterback that the Bears spent a high pick on because they believed he would be their franchise quarterback for years to come.

The Bears really impressed me and sent a message to the rest of the NFL of how well they performed. It is not easy to go into New England against Bill Belichick on primetime and totally dismantle his team, but the Bears did it as they earn team of the week in week 7 of the NFL season.

Yanks Season is Over

Wow, just like that the season is over. This team looked absolutely terrible in this series against the Astros and did not deserve to win whatsoever. Lots of changes need to be made this upcoming offseason to this sorry team.

First of all, Josh Donaldson needs to go. Donaldson had his moments throughout his career but that is long gone and he was a total disservice to this team throughout the postseason. The fact that he is making almost half of the Guardians payroll to play like he played is totally ridiculous.

The number one goal this offseason, which has been the goal since the start of the season, is to re-sign Aaron Judge. I don't care what the number is, you give him and blank check and make sure he is in pinstripes next season and for seasons to come after that. If he re-signs he should be made captain of the team as well.

It was proven once again, when in the postseason pitching always prevails. Pitching dominated the Yanks all postseason including in the Guardians series which the Yanks were lucky to come away with. Night after night in the ALCS the Yanks were matched up with great pitching and the bats just could never come alive and bail them out.

The offense was totally dismantled in the ALCS as they scored a combined 9 runs in 4 games, that is not going to win you anything, especially in the postseason. It also didn't play in the Yankees favor that two of their arguably best contact hitters did not compete in the postseason because of their injuries. Those two being Andrew Benintendi and DJ LeMahieu.

Like previous years, the Yanks had to deal with a lot of injuries. Lots of key bullpen arms missing including Marinaccio, Green, King, and Effross forced relievers like Clarke Schmidt to be inserted into certain situations that were uncomfortable for them and sometimes cost the Yanks games.

Lots of excuses to be made for this team, but a lot needs to change this offseason to this Yankee team. Start by re-signing Judge and then take it from there. Possibly a new starter like Carlos Rodon or Trea Turner inserted at shortstop to improve contact hitting. Lots of question marks going into the offseason for this team as they can once again not get over the hump of beating the Astros in the postseason.

The Most Costly Win for the Jets

The Jets are 5-2 for the first time since 2010, but at a huge cost. The Jets marched their way to their 5th victory of the year but lost arguably their two best offensive players for the season in Breece Hall and Alijah Vera-Tucker.

It was a sloppy game but the defense looked elite and totally put the offense on their backs as they carried the Jets to this victory. Going into has come at a cost these last two season after they were shut out last year and now they lose their two best players this game in the span of just over six minutes.

Zach Wilson has definitely not played his best football, but this should not be an overreaction because of the teams he has faced since he's came back from injury. In the last two games, the Jets have played two top ten defenses and Zach Wilson struggled majorly, but it should be obvious when you take on a great defense.

Once Wilson steps up and starts to be in command more of this offense, the offense will be fine. No more Breece Hall means more of an incorporation in the passing game so it is a MUST that Zach steps up if the Jets want to continue this great push.

The road is not going to get any easier as the Pats come to town, then the Bills, and then the bye. If I told you before the season the Jets record would be over .500 going into the bye week you would've said I'm crazy, but it's going to happen.

The Jets have overcame all the obstacles they've had to face so far through the first 7 games and I have no doubt they will be able to overcome the next 10 games as well. They've hit a huge wall, but they can certainly climb their way over. This is not the same old Jets. MetLife should be packed Sunday for the Pats and hopefully the Jets could win their 5th straight. Let's Go Jets.

My Team of the Week (Week 6)

For the second time this season, and for the first time since week 1, the Buffalo Bills are my team of the week in the NFL. A rivalry which has been brewing for a couple years now between the Chiefs and the Bills took place this previous Sunday.

The Bills after having a heartbreak loss last season in the playoffs to the Chiefs needed some revenge on the road. They got that revenge with a 24-20 victory at Arrowhead. Playing in Kansas City is one of the most toughest environments to play in throughout the league, but nothing fazed Josh Allen and the Bills.

The Bills picked up the toughest win out of every NFL team this past week and showed the rest of the NFL that they are here to play. As I've been saying all season so far, this Bills team is legit and they proved it once again this past Sunday.

This win was not only huge for the Bills because of revenge against the Chiefs, but now when the season comes down to the wire and home field advantage needs to be sorted out in the playoffs, if there is another rematch between the two teams, then the Bills will most likely have home field in Orchard Park.

It certainly seems like this could be the Bills year, can they finally get over the hump? Going into their bye week they get their biggest win of the season and continue to dominate the rest of the NFL. The rest of the league needs to watch out because the Bills are here and they are ready to compete against whoever you put in front of them.

The Yankees have won the ALDS!

Finally! After a long and grueling series with the pesky Cleveland Guardians, the Yankees have finally clinched their ticket to Houston to go play for the American League title in the ALCS. After two rainouts in the series with the Guardians, it finally ends a day after expected and the Yanks go into Houston with no days off.

The Guardians were definitely a surprise to this Yanks team as they totally play such a different style of baseball than the Yanks do. The Guardians look for base hits, good base running, great pitching, and small plays to go their way, while the Yanks solely focus on the long ball to get the job done for them.

At some points in this series, home runs were hard to come by because of how dominant Cleveland pitching was. Lots of bloop hits falling in for the Guardians really frustrated the Yanks, but even though it was frustrating, they still won the series.

After the game 3 walkout when the Yanks were up by 2 runs coming into the bottom of the ninth, I lost all hope. The team look like it just hit rock bottom after suffering this terrible loss on a couple of weak hit balls that somehow fell in the outfield. But you pay your ace $324 million for a reason as he anchored the ship in game 4 and Nasty Nestor cleaned it up in game 5 to clinch the series.

Another tough task ahead of the Yankees is their next matchup now with the Houston Astros. The Astros as we all know have dominated the Yanks in the postseason, and Yankees fans and players are fueled with anger against them after what they did in previous seasons with their cheating scandal.

Some say and I believe the Astros cheating in 2017 took away the chance for the Yanks to play for the World Series and potentially lock up number 28. Nobody will ever forget that the Houston Astros were the ones that cheated their way to a World Series victory and certainly not the Yankees.

However, aside from the cheating, the Astros are a much different team than the Guardians. Most MLB teams nowadays do not have a style of play similar to the Guardians, but the Astros do pose as a bigger offensive threat with great pitching as well.

The Yanks certainly come into this series as the underdog with no days off in between the ALDS and ALCS coming into Houston. It's going to be an uphill battle the entire way through but the Yanks can definitely handle the adversity come their way. They are more than capable of finally getting over the hump and beating this Astros team and if this is finally the year, then so be it. Let's go Yankees and the chase for 28 continues!

New York Knicks Basketball is Back!

It's been 192 days, but Knicks basketball is finally back! The Knicks face a tough test to open up this season as they start off in Memphis against the Grizzlies for game 1 of 82.

It wasn't necessarily the offseason I wanted and lots of other Knicks fans wanted, but the Knicks did improve and I am definitely excited about this team.

Obviously, the biggest goal of the offseason was to acquire Donovan Mitchell, but that never happened as he wound up a Cleveland Cavalier. Personally, I'm pretty happy that deal didn't go down because the Knicks were going to give up way too much in return for the young star. Don't get me wrong Mitchell is a great player, but he is not worth all the assets the Knicks were proposing to the Jazz at the time.

The addition that the Knicks did make was Jalen Brunson. He could be the Knicks new point guard for the next couple years, maybe more. The Knicks finally get the point guard that they have been looking for to right the ship after going 9 straight seasons with different point guards on each opening night.

Brunson had a great 2022 playoffs and 2022 season and showed some glimpses of that in the preseason as well. Very excited to see what he has to bring to this young Knicks squad.

A new season and another season we get to see of star in the making, RJ Barrett. RJ impressed me so much last year, but around the league still has not gotten the respect he has deserved. This year he will have a little less weight to carry now with a solidified point guard in Jalen Brunson.

The re-signing of Mitchell Robinson, extension for RJ, signing Brunson, and signing Isiah Hartenstein were the highlights of the Knicks offseason. Many fans wanted it differently, possibly trading up for Jaden Ivey, not signing Brunson, trading for Donovan Mitchell, but none of those things happened.

We will definitely see if the pieces Leon Rose and Tom Thibodeau put together can win the Knicks some games this year and put them back in the playoffs. I believe that they will definitely be in the play-in this year and just make the playoffs in the Eastern Conference as a 7 or 8 seed. Hopefully they do better than my projections, but a new season begins and new opportunities to come for this Knicks squad. Lets Go Knicks, game 1 of 82 is coming up!

The NBA is finally back!

It's that time of year again, the NBA is back! The last of the three major sports to kick off in the later months of the year, the NBA is back tonight. Should be a very interesting and fun season upcoming upon us.

The Western Conference looks insanely deep, but the Eastern Conference looks pretty deep as well. There's going to be some teams this year that don't make that playoffs that probably should have because of the amount of good teams there are in the league nowadays.

It's going to be tough to dethrone the Warriors as they only improved in the offseason, but the Western Conference has improved so they may have a bit of a tough time with that this year. Obviously the incorporation of James Wiseman largely increases their chance at back to back titles.

It is definitely going to be a toss up in the East as there is no one team that is largely better than the others. The East has a lot of good and great teams, but there is no one that stands out yet to me as that solidified #1 seed just yet.

Some other big headlines are the guys that have to prove themselves this year such as Ben Simmons and Zion Williamson. Williamson and Simmons both good players who did not play last year have had a lot of offseason media attention all over them whether they will succeed or not this season.

It's an exciting time with the NBA kicking off, NHL ongoing, NFL ongoing, college football ongoing, and college basketball soon to start as well, but the NBA makes it all that much better. Hopefully it is another great, interesting, and exciting season for the fans and the players as the NBA enters its 76th year.

What is wrong with Tom Brady?

What is the deal with Tom Brady and the struggling Buccaneers? The goat never disappoints, but is it coming towards that time where he should just hang it up and call it quits?

Tom Brady is the undisputed GOAT of the National Football League, there is no debate. He has broken all of the barriers and records necessary to be considered this and he is playing the game while he is 45 years old. We may never see another player play at this age and succeed as much as he has.

While all of these accolades stand about Brady, it seems like his historic career is taking a turn for the worst. Brady has started to have a lot of off the field drama with his wife Gisele and their marriage. Could that be playing an effect on his overall performance?

He also has been skipping practices during the week for the Bucs. Most recently, he attended his former boss/colleague Robert Kraft's wedding and flew out to the game by himself. As a result of this, he did not have his best game and the Bucs lost to a terrible Steelers team on the road.

To many people, it seems like he is putting football second, but to some they view it as his life. Recently, Brady has had enough drama to deal with off the field that it is understandable to see why he is struggling. But do his struggles have to do with this so called drama or should we just accept the fact that he is human and cannot play the game he loves forever at such a high level?

In my overall opinion, Brady is one of the few people in all of sports that you cannot bet against and once again that is applied here. Brady has found ways to deal with adversity throughout his illustrious career and whose to say he can't do it again in this situation.

Yes, the Bucs are in a hole at 3-3, but they still lead their subpar division. They need to find a way out of this hole and they have a more than capable quarterback of guiding them through to do so. You can never count out Brady no matter how bad they have looked these past couple of weeks. I'd have to imagine that Brady will pick things up and this team will be just fine come the next couple of weeks.

The Jets are 4-2!

The Jets look better than ever and I am so happy. The defense looked amazing from start to finish, while the offense was a little shady to start, they totally turned the page in the 2nd half. The Jets won their third straight game, second straight blowout, and beat the Green Bay Packers 27-10.

Once again, no one predicted the Jets were going to win that game or in the fashion they did it in. Besides a couple of good throws by Aaron Rodgers, the Jets totally shut down the future hall of famer and that was the key to their success in Lambeau.

Rodgers came into the game not 100 percent, and the Jets made sure that he would be nowhere near that 100 percent come game time as they pressured him in the pocket and outside of the pocket almost every passing play. The defensive front looks very improved from just a year ago lead by Quinnen Williams.

Williams already looks like a pro-bowler this year and this was definitely his breakout game. Along with Vinny Curry coming back from injury, Sheldon Rankins, John Franklin-Meyers, the line looked amazing, but to be good defensively you can't just have a good front, you need a secondary well.

And boy do the Jets have that secondary. DJ Reed and Sauce Gardner look like one of the early best cornerback tandems in the NFL. They've shut down basically every receiver corps they've faced this season so far. When you do that, you have a pretty good chance at succeeding.

The offense lead by Breece Hall again turned up in the second half. Both offenses were very subpar in the first half, but the Jets broke out in the second half. The two touchdowns by Breece Hall and Braxton Berrios lead this team to another victory on the campaign.

Another week, another win for the Jets. I can get used to this feeling and I know all Jets fans can as well. This team is headed for massive success if they keep this winning up. Let's go Jets and lets move onto Denver.

Playoff baseball for the Yanks is here

It's finally here, the Yankees are back in the postseason and are looking to make a statement. The Yanks open up the ALDS at home tonight against the Cleveland Guardians as they look to chase for 28.

It's been an eventful season for the Yanks after they won the AL East which nobody expected and won 99 games to go along with it. They started off the season really hot, hit a couple of obstacles, then bounced back and are now sitting in the playoffs nicely.

The past 5 years of Yankee playoff baseball has not been eventful as the Yanks just continue to lose in heartbreaking fashion each and every year. This year they are looking to write a new chapter and not be the same Yankee team of the last 5 years and actually do something this year.

Like every year, they've been riddled by injuries, but this year it has hit especially hard on their bullpen. Almost half the arms they started with on opening day are hurt and are not going to pitch in the ALDS which is a huge blow to late game situations.

We need the bats to pick up right where they left off to end the season, hot. They hit the most homers in the league almost every year for a reason and they need to continue this in the postseason if they want to have any shot at advancing.

Gerrit Cole makes his first playoff start in the Bronx tonight and if he can start to learn from some of his mistakes and not give up the long ball as often, we will be seeing prime Gerrit Cole and then hopefully the rest of the rotation can follow suit right after him.

After a long, successful regular season, can the Yanks finally have a successful postseason and get banner 28 in the Bronx? I believe this team is capable of going to the promise land as long as they don't beat themselves. Go Yankees and the chase for 28 is officially on.

The Jets have won a division game!

Exactly zero people expected the Jets to be 3-2 through their first 5 games of the 2022 NFL season., but they've done it. In arguably their biggest game in 7 years, the Jets rose to the occasion and crushed their division rivals, the Miami Dolphins, 40-17.

The Jets had lost 12 consecutive division games before this game, so this was a huge game. The Dolphins were missing a lot of key pieces in both of their cornerbacks and their starting QB. In recent history, if the Jets were given this opportunity in prior years, they would have not been able to take advantage, but this team is different.

This team looks like they are an NFL team with a pulse that comes to compete each and every week. As a Jets fan, I have not seen a Jets team like this in almost 7 years which is ridiculous.

The game started off with a bang when Sauce Gardner forced a safety on the Dolphins and ended up knocking Teddy Bridgewater out of the game and left the Dolphins with their third-string QB. Sauce has continued to impress everyone and is the clear front-runner for defensive rookie of the year by far. The rest of the defense took advantage of the banged up dolphins offense and shut them down in the second half.

Zach Wilson has continued to look like that quarterback that Jets fans and I have been dreaming of for so long. He had one of his most accurate games of his career and didn't make any mistakes as well. I am convinced that if he started off the season as QB, the Jets would have a better record.

The rookies are taking over this team and especially Breece Hall and Sauce Gardner. Gardner picked up his first pick and forced a safety, while Breece Hall had 197 scrimmage yards with a touchdown as well. Is there a way that they can split rookie of the week this week? They both played phenomenal and both look like they are future stars in the making.

This team looks so fun and exciting and I can't wait to see where this team goes this season. They do have a tough opponent in the Packers this week in Green Bay, I can't wait to see how they deal with this adversity. Myself and the rest of Jets fans have not been this excited in a very long time and I can't wait to see how the rest of the season goes.

My Team of The Week (Week 5)

The New York Giants are my team of the week for week 5 of the NFL season. An uncharacteristic 4-1 for the Giants has put them in a spot that nobody expected them to be in heading into week 6 of the NFL season.

The Giants flew to London to take on the Packers without arguably their top 3 of 4 recievers. No Sterling Shepherd with a torn ACL, and no Kenny Golladay or Kadarius Toney both with injuries of their own, but they still managed to win with practice squad offensive players.

Not only did they beat a good team in the Packers, but they had a big comeback against them as well. They were down 20-10 coming into the second half and managed to win the game. Their defense came up huge as the Packers offense, lead by Aaron Rodgers, was shut out.

The Giants have battled adversity so far this season and have had a relatively easy schedule, so not many people have given them their respect yet including myself. After this week though I am very impressed with the team and how they persevered their way to a victory.

They are played on a whole different continent, most of their offense was hurt, they battled Aaron Rodgers, but they still had an incredible comeback and have proved to the NFL that they are here. The New York Giants are my Week 5 team of the week in the NFL.

The MLB regular season is over

Wow, the season is over. It seems like it was just yesterday when I was sitting on my couch, scrolling through twitter to see that the lockout had finally concluded and we would have baseball again. I never realized how much I cherish this great game until that point and it makes it even more emotional now that the season is over.

Obviously, the playoffs are arguably the best part of baseball. All the intensity from the heat of being in October. It all comes down to the wire and whatever happens in October, stays in October.

This season had so many great and historic moments and in my opinion it was probably the best season of baseball I've ever watched. From Miggy's 3000th hit to Albert's 700th homer to Judge's 62nd, this season was so magical and showed the world why baseball is the best game on the planet.

So many surprises this season and that is what makes baseball the best. The fact that the Mets lead the division for 175 out of the 183 total days in the regular season, yet still lost the division shows that you're never out of it in baseball. Or how the youngest team in the league made the playoffs and won the division.

For those who say baseball is boring, you're wrong. It deserves the title as America's pastime and it should be cherished as America's Pastime more widely across the country. Baseball needs the respect it deserves because I am sure going to miss it as the summer months wind down and the cool air takes over.

My Team of The Week (Week 4)

It's crazy to think that we are already in Week 4 of the NFL season, but time certainly flies when the NFL is on. That being said, the Buffalo Bills are my team of the week for week 4 in the NFL.

The Bills had a heart-breaking loss just a week before to the Dolphins and they weren't about to make it two losses in a row. The Bills showed the NFL this week why they are the team to beat this season.

They trailed at one point during the game by a score of 20-3 before they eventually came back and won the game. It was a total team effort in terrible conditions in Baltimore. The Ravens came out cruising and looked like they were on their way to an easy victory until the Bills made some adjustments.

Courtesy of mostly Josh Allen, who looks like the clear MVP frontrunner this year, the Bills scored 20 unanswered points and never looked back from there.

Defense wins championships and the Bills believe that they have a certainly capable defense of winning it all this season. It was also courtesy of that lockdown defense lead by their secondary that shut down Lamar Jackson and the Ravens offense in the second half.

The Bills get a huge and much needed bounce back victory over the Baltimore Ravens to advance to 3-1. To me I think this is the year that they go all the way finally and this week they certainly made me more confident in that statement with their great comeback victory against the Ravens.

Case Closed: AL Homer Champ is Judge

One of the best offensive seasons of all time in the long history of Major League Baseball has come to an end in dramatic fashion. Judge has hit 62 and he tops Maris for the most homers of all time in the sport, while doing it clean.

In my generation, Aaron Judge is the best player I've ever seen play before. Whatever the number is, the Yankees should give Judge a blank check and accept whatever number he writes on it. He is simply that good.

For a couple games in between 61 and 62, I was kind of skeptical whether he would break the record or not. He looked like he might fold under the high pressure because every time he came to the plate he had the intention of going deep. Not like the rest of the season where he would just be up there to benefit his team and do whatever he was asked to do.

The fact that he was not being pitched to also played a role. Luckily, the Rangers who had nothing to play for did not pitch around Judge and they challenged him and Judge took advantage of it and hit 62. I can't wait to see Billy Crystal produce a movie on 62 like he did for 61. The best part is that I can say I saw him go through all of the adversity he went through with my own eyes, yet he still broke the record.

Sure Bonds, McGuire, and Sosa all had more than 62, but they all had an advantage doing so. If you count that Bonds has the home run record, then you could make the argument that if Judge was on PEDs, he would have much more than 73 homers. PEDs in every sport are an unfair advantage and any record broken by a player using the substance should be asterisked.

Breaking a record and doing it clean is another thing and that is what Aaron Judge just did. He is a role model to lots of younger baseball fans including me and he is putting the sport on the map when people are saying baseball is dying. Judge is doing it all and he is doing it the clean way which matters most.

The Jets are 2-2!

The Jets get another road victory, this time against the Steelers 24-20. In Zach Wilson's first game back he looked a little rusty through the first three quarters, but he turned up in the 4th when he was most needed.

Back in May when the schedule release came out, the NFL announced that the Jets first four games would be against the entire AFC North. So I thought great another 0-4 start. But, the Jets surprised a lot of people and started off the year 2-2 and get past the tough AFC north division. Obviously 2-2 is not the best, but when you are projected to go 0-4 in your first four games, I'll take 2-2 any day.

Just a week ago, the defense looks absolutely atrocious and the Jets knew they needed to step it up and they certainly did. They arguably only let up 10 points, even though they let up 20 because 10 of the 20 points were off turnovers that gave Pittsburgh great field position. Really liked how the defense responded to the adversity that they had been facing.

Obviously, Pittsburgh is not the best team, they do not have a good QB in Mitch Trubisky and they lost their best defensive player in Week 1 in TJ Watt, so the Jets got lucky with those factors. Even when Trubisky was replaced, Pickett wasn't much better. In fact, he threw 3 interceptions and the defense had 4 total interceptions.

After the second rushing TD by Pickett, I thought the Jets got the life sucked out of them, but once again I was wrong. The Jets battled back like they did 2 weeks ago and Zach Wilson had arguably the best drive he has ever had as a professional on the last drive they had. Zach looked poised and looked like a veteran out there on the last drive.

Very happy with this team and yet again they have another advantage next week most likely facing Teddy Bridgewater instead of Tua Tagovailoa. If the defense can step up again like they did today, and Zach Wilson can play like he did in that fourth quarter, I have no doubt this team could be 3-2 by next Sunday.

But, the Dolphins are a tough task, so nothing will come easy for the Jets in the end. Great win this week and hopefully they can capitalize off this momentum and carry it with them throughout the rest of the season.
