The Jets are 5-2 for the first time since 2010, but at a huge cost. The Jets marched their way to their 5th victory of the year but lost arguably their two best offensive players for the season in Breece Hall and Alijah Vera-Tucker.
It was a sloppy game but the defense looked elite and totally put the offense on their backs as they carried the Jets to this victory. Going into has come at a cost these last two season after they were shut out last year and now they lose their two best players this game in the span of just over six minutes.
Zach Wilson has definitely not played his best football, but this should not be an overreaction because of the teams he has faced since he's came back from injury. In the last two games, the Jets have played two top ten defenses and Zach Wilson struggled majorly, but it should be obvious when you take on a great defense.
Once Wilson steps up and starts to be in command more of this offense, the offense will be fine. No more Breece Hall means more of an incorporation in the passing game so it is a MUST that Zach steps up if the Jets want to continue this great push.
The road is not going to get any easier as the Pats come to town, then the Bills, and then the bye. If I told you before the season the Jets record would be over .500 going into the bye week you would've said I'm crazy, but it's going to happen.
The Jets have overcame all the obstacles they've had to face so far through the first 7 games and I have no doubt they will be able to overcome the next 10 games as well. They've hit a huge wall, but they can certainly climb their way over. This is not the same old Jets. MetLife should be packed Sunday for the Pats and hopefully the Jets could win their 5th straight. Let's Go Jets.
