Case Closed: AL Homer Champ is Judge

One of the best offensive seasons of all time in the long history of Major League Baseball has come to an end in dramatic fashion. Judge has hit 62 and he tops Maris for the most homers of all time in the sport, while doing it clean.

In my generation, Aaron Judge is the best player I've ever seen play before. Whatever the number is, the Yankees should give Judge a blank check and accept whatever number he writes on it. He is simply that good.

For a couple games in between 61 and 62, I was kind of skeptical whether he would break the record or not. He looked like he might fold under the high pressure because every time he came to the plate he had the intention of going deep. Not like the rest of the season where he would just be up there to benefit his team and do whatever he was asked to do.

The fact that he was not being pitched to also played a role. Luckily, the Rangers who had nothing to play for did not pitch around Judge and they challenged him and Judge took advantage of it and hit 62. I can't wait to see Billy Crystal produce a movie on 62 like he did for 61. The best part is that I can say I saw him go through all of the adversity he went through with my own eyes, yet he still broke the record.

Sure Bonds, McGuire, and Sosa all had more than 62, but they all had an advantage doing so. If you count that Bonds has the home run record, then you could make the argument that if Judge was on PEDs, he would have much more than 73 homers. PEDs in every sport are an unfair advantage and any record broken by a player using the substance should be asterisked.

Breaking a record and doing it clean is another thing and that is what Aaron Judge just did. He is a role model to lots of younger baseball fans including me and he is putting the sport on the map when people are saying baseball is dying. Judge is doing it all and he is doing it the clean way which matters most.
