The Pistons are BAD

There is no other way to put it, the Detroit Pistons are horrible. They are setting records that are not meant to be set, records that no one would like to be remembered for. Currently the Pistons are 2-28 after just having set the all-time losing streak record of losing 27 games in a row.

The last time the Pistons made the playoffs was 2019, but you have to go back even further to 2008 for the last time they won a singular playoff game. This franchise has been the doormat of the NBA for quite a while now and it doesn't seem like this will change anytime soon.

This past offseason the Pistons hired Monty Williams as their new head coach, marking the largest coaching contract ever in NBA history. The Pistons are a very young team with their core consisting of many players that have been in the league for a couple of seasons at most.

You can't blame it on the way this team has been built because look across the league at the Thunder and what they've been able to accomplish with one of the youngest teams as well. Something needs to change with this team and fast, or else they are going to set another record, this time for the most losses in a single season.

They have a promising young star in Cade Cunningham and the team should run through him. They have to pick it up defensively though. They have been consistently letting teams run all over them, knocking down threes left and right. They have currently played 30 games and in only one of those games did they hold their opponents to less than 100 points scored.

Change is needed in Detroit and fast. The Pistons have continued to be scrutinized as the laughing stock of the NBA and currently are struggling to simply win a game. Before every game, the goal for each team in the league is to win. The Pistons haven't accomplished their goal since October 28th, 61 days ago.

The 49ers are the BEST

The 49ers are taking the league by storm with their dominant performances after dominant performances since their bye week. Since their bye week they have won six straight games and have outscored their opponents by a combined 113 points.

For the first five weeks of the season, the Niners looked like the best team in the league as well until they hit a road bump from Weeks 6-8. But I am confidently here to tell you that this team is back and will be a problem to slow down as we approach the NFL playoffs. Like I said earlier in the season, this team is the most complete team in the National Football League and that is why they are so good.

I could go position by position and name for you why they are so good, but i'll just keep it plain and simple and address the fact that they have 2 deserving MVP candidates. Not one but two candidates in Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey. The MVP award is usually a quarterback award so I would say Purdy has the upper hand just a bit, but CMC has been unbelievable this season.

This offense as well has one of the best receiving corps duos in the league with Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk along with their All-Pro tight end George Kittle. The names just continue to get better with Trent Williams leading the masterclass of an offensive line. Then on the defensive side of the ball you guys like Fred Warner and Nick Bosa leading the way.

It is crazy to me how some people treat this 49er team as if they are not the best, most dominant team in this league. They have proved it week after week for the last six weeks and nonetheless against good teams as well. They handedly beat the Jaguars, leading the AFC South, on the road by 31 points. Went into Philadelphia, looking for revenge from last year, and dominated by 23 points. I mean this team is just overall built to win the Super Bowl.

They face a tall task this week with the Baltimore Ravens coming into town. It's the number one seed in the AFC against the number one seed in the NFC. If the Niners can win this game on Monday Night Football on Christmas Day nonetheless, everyone needs to give this team the respect they deserve and stop calling Brock Purdy a system quarterback.

Purdy is far from a system quarterback, yet people continue to remark that he is indeed one. Whenever I turn on the TV and watch this 49ers team, it is exciting and fun times and I can't wait for the potential game of the year on Monday Night Football on Christmas.

Dak for MVP

As we approach the final weeks of the regular season, the MVP discussion has been heating up, but there is only one correct option for the award so far. That option is Dak Prescott. Prescott has had his best season this year as a pro and as of last week has propelled the Cowboys into 1st place in the NFC East.

The Cowboys in general have had an unbelievable season, but that is all in thanks to their star quarterback Dak Prescott. Prescott currently leads the league in touchdowns with 28 of them, possesses the second best QBR in the league, and has the fourth most passing yards as well.

The numbers don't lie and along with that, the Cowboys have a 10-3 record, sitting atop the NFC. The Cowboys are winning lots of games, and they are winning these games handedly. In 8 of their 10 wins this season, the Cowboys have beaten their opponent by at least 20 points courtesy of Dak's phenomenal play.

Dak went into this offseason with one goal, limit the turnovers and he has done so very effectively. So far this season, Dak only has 6 interceptions. Interceptions in the past for Prescott were his number one concern, but he has really limited them thus far.

The thing that has always been the deciding factor with the fate of the Cowboys is how they transition from the regular season to the playoffs. In the past, they have been early round exits, but with the way Dak is leading the team this year, it is going to be hard to repeat this.

In their wins, the Cowboys have been the most dominant team in the NFL and Dak has had a lot to do with that. There are definitely others in the race, but if the Cowboys can lock up the division this season and potentially grab the #1 seed in the NFC, the race should be all but over. If I was voting for MVP, Dak would certainly have my vote.

Why FSU Should NOT Qualify for the CFP

In the final year of the four team college football playoff, the committee will have a very tough time determining the final four teams to advance. One of those teams in the mix is the Florida State Seminoles and I'm here to tell you why they should NOT qualify.

Florida State has had a great season headlined by a lot of big name players such as Jordan Travis, Keon Coleman, and Jared Verse. But recently, their star quarterback, Jordan Travis, suffered a season-ending injury and the Seminoles will now have to rely on the rest of their quarterback room to do the job.

As we all know, from high school to college to the NFL, teams do not operate as well without their starting quarterback and FSU is a prime example. They escaped Gainesville last weekend with a narrow victory over the Gators and if it wasn't for some brutal penalties on the Gators, we would be having a much different conversation right now.

In years past, we've seen the committee put in some really out matched #4 seeds into the college football playoff just for them to be dismantled by the #1 seed. Two examples of that is when LSU took down Oklahoma with Joe Burrow, and also Alabama taking down Notre Dame a couple of years ago as well. No one wants to see a blowout in one of the biggest games of the year and with FSU's quarterback situation, they are very vulnerable.

Another thing is their strength of schedule. Out of the Power 5 conferences, the ACC is arguably the weakest and FSU has been able to walk all over it this season. The only ranked teams they took on all season was Duke, who finished 7-5, and LSU (not even in the ACC). Putting Florida State up against a team like Georgia or Michigan, even Washington, in the college football playoff is not a good idea.

It's even worse of an idea when there are teams surrounding them that deserve to be in the playoff even more. These teams include Texas, Alabama, and even Ohio State. These three teams all have better strength of schedules, but they all have 1 loss which is staring the committee right in the face.

I believe Florida State had a great year and that they have a lot of talent on this team, just this team does not operate as well without Jordan Travis. The unfortunate injury of Travis is what is taking this team out of playoff contention. Viewers want to see competitive games and with FSU down to their backup quarterbacks, this is not guaranteed. Even if FSU does beat Louisville, I believe that other schools have better resumes than them and are more deserving.
